    Starting with Caitlyn I never thought I’d see the changes I have, not only physically, but mentally. I’ve been training for YEARS with little to no changes. I legitimately thought I knew everything about fitness and truly did love it, however by week 2 or 3 of hard training I would give up because I couldn’t see changes and fall into old habits. Caitlyn has taught me that It’s not meant to be complicated, just show up and tick those boxes and the rest will fall into place. Over the last couple of months I’ve learnt so much about training, nutrition and loving my body.     For as long as I can remember, the numbers of the scale would dictate my mood. If the numbers were ‘low’, I was on top of the world - motivated, invincible. If the numbers were ‘high’, I would fall to a heap. Why was I even dieting? It obviously wasn’t working. Then I would binge eat and make myself feel worse - a sick self-deprecating cycle.

    My attachment to the scales became very evident to me in the first few months with Caitlyn. I was constantly inundating her with questions like why aren’t the numbers dropping, why am I putting on weight instead of losing it? Each time she would assure me that the numbers on the scales were just data. Numbers that would shift day to day because your body isn’t in a stagnant state, it’s constantly changing. When I started to focus my energy into consistency and away from my weight, that’s when the switch flipped and my weight began to drop. While it is exciting to see the scales at the lowest they’ve been in 10 years, I know it’s not the be-all and end-all. At the end of the day, it’s just data that supplements the lifestyle changes I have made.
